SD SYAHIDIN, Our New Adopted School

On October 11, 2023, SD Syahidin and BINUS SCHOOL Semarang signed an MOU to include SD Syahidin as a new addition to our Adopt a School Programme. Ms. Elsie and Ibu Muslikhah signed the contract for a duration of 3 years. Ms. Umi, our National Curriculum Officer, identified this school as one in need of our assistance. Currently, the school has only 40 students spanning grades 1 to 6, and they are taught by just 3 teachers. One of SD Syahidin’s pressing needs for the near future is additional laptops/computers for the National Computer-Based Exam (ANBK) since they currently have only 2 laptops. Additionally, SD Syahidin’s library is dilapidated and that may be a good project which our school may need to start with and build. Thank you to the PSG Officers who had given a few books for the students to read in their school. The first activity that SD Syahidin agreed to was a visit to our school on UN Day. They honored their commitment and arrived with 20 students and 1 teacher and the Principal. Our students warmly welcomed them and engaged in various activities together during the United Nations Day celebration.
